Times have changed. Industry came up and the big supermarkets came into town. The gardens are just for the tourists and most people buy their daily products in the supermarket. For growers it is easier to have monocultures, mass production is more profitable for big companies and the prices are lower for customers. But what does it mean if the prices are lower? Products are not grown organic, but treated with chemicals. And it is hard to find out where the fruits and vegetables are grown. But trends seem to change again.
